Semmco – Unit 4. Woking, UK
Complete Electrical Validation and Full Site Refit
AP Electrical Ltd carried out a comprehensive electrical overhaul for Semmco at their Unit 4 facility in Woking. The project involved the full validation of existing electrical systems, followed by the removal of redundant wiring and services.
New cable tray, trunking, and conduit were installed throughout, along with new sub-main supplies feeding split-metered distribution boards, air-conditioning units, and chiller systems. The team also fitted new high-bay and emergency lighting with PIR detection, 3-phase supplies for internal equipment, and bench-height dado trunking to improve accessibility and safety.
Further works included the installation of new small-power circuits, data cabling with new patch panels, a new evacuation phone system, and servicing of the existing solar panel array. All works were fully certified upon completion, ensuring compliance with the latest safety and efficiency standards.
Neptune Ward – Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. London, UK.
The ward was completely re-wired using the existing containment. A new distribution board was installed to accommodate the additional circuits.
A new lighting control system (Forlux) was installed, along with new lighting across the floor, providing dimming throughout the ward. We also provided dimming controls at the bedheads and other key areas.
A completely new power system was installed, including socket outlets in all small ward rooms, corridors, and ancillary spaces. A UPS system board is in place for the essential distribution board.
A new clean earth bonding system has also been installed, with earth stations situated across the floor.
Gloucester Avenue. Camden Town, London UK.
This is a four-storey office building with a basement and mezzanine floor.
The electrical works were based on a Cat A fit-out, comprising new TP&N distribution boards on each floor, along with new underfloor Electrak systems and tap-off leads feeding three-compartment floor boxes at each level.
New power supplies and socket outlets were installed throughout all floors, including dedicated supplies for the air conditioning systems. All containment is surface-fixed.
Linear lights (Hansel) were installed on all levels with PIR switching, along with new lighting to the toilets and reception area, and external LED lighting in the entrance lobby. Recessed downlights and power were also provided to the kitchen areas.
All containment for the lighting wiring was installed on high-level cable tray and in steel barrel conduit.
New containment was also installed for a complete new fire alarm system.
